Bottle scrap prices in South Gujarat and Surat regions have increased by Rs 1 per kg. In the international market, prices of polyester goods are trading in a limited range. Virgin fiber prices may remain stable.

For the last few days, there has been a discussion in the market that Pet Bottle will be turned away from October 2. We spoke to several experts and came up with some facts.

1) Economically the cost of a pet bottle is very low for packaging pure water. Consumers cannot pay the cost of glass and metal bottle. Therefore, it is difficult to completely ban the pet bottles.

2) The government can ban the use of small bottles below 500 ml. 1 liter and upper bottle will be operational.

3) By banning the 200ml bottle, the pet liqueur bottle can move into the glass bottle. There is a difference of Rs 7 per bottle in the cost of both. The consumer has the ability to pay this cost.

4) If the bottle of 200 ml is banned, the availability of pet bottle scrap can be reduced by up to 25%.

Availability of plastic scrap has decreased in all regions. At the same time, the prices have increased due to the lightening in demand. In the international market, oil prices have again strengthened. Brent Oil trades at $ 40 per barrel. The rupee is trading at 74.27 per dollar.

The availability of transport has come down and freight have increased due to increase by government restriction. Due to which suppliers are able to supply to local buyers only. The prices of Virgin Polymer and Future continued to fall in the international market. Market players are in a state of wait and see, and keeping inventory levels low.
